An After School Club with Forest School Principles. Each session we around the Log Circle for a quick chat about what there is to do today and reminder about keeping ourselves safe. After that the children speed off to play in the stream, under the trees, to have a look in the pond or come to join our staff and volunteers in an activity. Our sessions are child-led meaning that the children choose what they'd like to do and we try to facilitiate any activity they have shown interest in. We usually do a little bit of outdoor cooking and meet back at the Log Circle to wrap things up. Round the circle the kids let us know what they have enjoyed and give us an idea of what they might like to do next week! Our After School Club runs rain or shine so please make sure the children are dressed appropriately for the weather. We spend the full two hours outdoors but have got a lovely big tent to take shelter in if need be.
